despot

[noun; from Greek]
a person, especially a ruler, who has unlimited power over other people, and often uses it unfairly and cruelly, i.e. arbitrarily and without legal restrictions. In contrast to the monarchy, despotism is not tied to any ethical or customary legal barriers and, above all, lacks respect for human rights and dignity.

Legend to the photograph on the book cover:

⇐ Activists of the civic action group APPEAL TO THE PEOPLE are gathering during the hunger strike of Gerhard Ulrich in favour of Damaris Keller in the evening of July 13, 2004 in front of the Academy of lies on Mon Repos/Lausanne alias High Federal Court and are briefed about the forthcoming protestation action. According to the partisan’s tactics, the enemies never know in advance, where and when the activists will strike. The judgement of Winzap of November 24, 2006 designated this formation respectfully as “l’armée ulrichienne”.
